YOU’RE INVITED TO SIOPA’S FIRST NETWORKING EVENT: SAFETY CULTURE WITH DOWNER MINING

(4 JULY ) TECHNET EVENT: HOW TO FOSTER A HIGH PERFORMING SAFETY CULTURE

SIOPA’s Technical Networking event on the 4th of JULY is an interactive case study presentation illustrating the challenges of developing a high performing safety culture at Downer Mining, presented by Registered Psychologist Rebecca Mahony (Training and Development Manager West).

Zero Harm is one of Downer’s key values; it is embedded in their culture and is fundamental to their success. Recently, Downer operated one of the largest iron ore mine sites in Western Australia and through this site, an opportunity to address their safety culture was presented.
