Ethics and Code of Conduct

SIOPA members are required to abide by SIOPA’s Code of Conduct and the Psychology Board of Australia’s Code of Ethics. SIOPA’s Code of Conduct outlines the expected standards of behaviour from our members, including Board, State-based Advisory Group and Committee Members. The Code of Ethics details ethical principles and sets specific standards to guide Registered Psychologists and members of the public to a clear understanding of ethical professional conduct by Registered Psychologists.

Maintaining professionalism and high standards in our profession is important to SIOPA. If you suspect a member of SIOPA has not adhered to SIOPA’s Code of Conduct or the Psychology Board of Australia’s Code of Ethics, please contact SIOPA’s President.
