Introducing the SIOPA Mentoring Program 2020

Would you like to build your professional networks? How about the opportunity to receive individual support, advice and guidance from an industry leader who lives and breathes the profession like you? Do you work in Organisational Psychology or a related discipline? We are delighted to announce that mentee applications are now open for the national SIOPA Mentoring Program 2020.

The program follows a structured, sustainable mentoring process that includes a comprehensive matching framework, training and support conducted by Organisational Psychologists. The program launches on 10th March and runs for five months.

In an industry-first, the SIOPA Mentoring Program 2020 is a nation-wide initiative for early career professionals that aims to support participants with career guidance and direction by sharing mentor and mentee experiences, developing career goals and forging exceptional mentoring relationships.

Program runs: March – August 2020, and costs $300 per person.

Successful applicants must attend a two-hour training session and launch event on 10th March (either online or preferably in person) in Perth. Mentees are encouraged to conduct 5-7 sessions with their mentor throughout the program.

Ali Burston is an Organisational Psychologist and the Managing Director of Perth-based consulting firm Metisphere, which she founded in 2010. Her clients are major mining companies. As an organisational psychologist, Ali’s job is to create people-focused business growth. Recently, Ali has been listed as a finalist for The Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia (CME)’s Outstanding Woman in Resources award, largely in part due to her successful mentoring program for Women in Mining and Resources WA (WIMWA).

SIOPA is an independent and incorporated association with a purpose to create growth, supervision and professional development opportunities for Organisational Psychologists and related disciplines in Australia.
