SIOPA wraps up 2020 Mentoring Program at Leadership Effectiveness Event on September 8

On September 8, we were thrilled to conclude our industry-first Australia-wide mentoring program in collaboration with having our first CPD event since March, hosted by Denise Goldsworthy AO. While originally designed for clinical use in group psychotherapy, Denise explored Yalom’s four attributes for group performance (Executive Function, Emotional Stimulation, Meaning Attribution and Caring) providing in-depth case studies from her career for review and discussion. The extended Q&A session ensured that all guests were treated with further unique insights and there was plenty of networking in the WACA stands afterwards.

More about the SIOPA Mentoring Program:

In an industry-first, the SIOPA Mentoring Program was a nation-wide initiative for early career professionals that aimed to support participants with career guidance and direction by sharing mentor and mentee experiences, developing career goals and forging exceptional mentoring relationships. Twenty-six (26) exceptional men and women from across the Australian organisational psychology industry were inducted into the inaugural SIOPA Mentoring Program 2020 and had outstanding feedback to share last week:

  • 100% of survey respondents agree that in the SIOPA Mentoring Program 2020 “I had a quality relationship with my mentor/mentee.”
  • 79% of survey respondents agree that in the SIOPA Mentoring Program 2020 “there has been a positive impact on my career so far.“
  • Survey respondents rated the inaugural SIOPA Mentoring Program 2020 4.6 out of 5 in program satisfaction.

The SIOPA Mentoring Program follows a structured, sustainable mentoring process that includes a comprehensive matching framework, training and support conducted by  Organisational Psychologists.

We cannot wait to launch our 2021 offering in February next year – watch this space!
