SIOPA Members Event: IO Psych Consulting Online Forum (13 May)
SIOPA supports the needs and careers of professionals in organisational psychology and related disciplines.
On Wednesday 13 May, SIOPA Board members Dr Ali Burston and Jon Wilson are hosting a professional development forum to assist individuals with advice and discussion aimed at retaining or creating income from consulting during the COVID-19 economic recovery period.
Topics Include:
- Sources of income for consulting
- Managing emotional distress during a crisis
- Services that are relevant and valued
- Approaches for sourcing consulting and service delivery work
Participants will also be provided the opportunity to ask questions from the guest speakers and attendees on the video conference call.

About the facilitators:
Dr Ali Burston is an AHPRA Endorsed Organisational Psychologist and the Managing Director of
consulting firm, Metisphere. Ali has 20 years of industry experience, predominantly working in
management consulting and professional services firms. Metisphere’s local, national and global
clients engage her to develop leadership capabilities, manage change effectively and transform their
organisations sustainably. Ali is also the Vice-President of SIOPA and a has been a founding board
member since 2017.
Jon Wilson is a SIOPA Board Member and experienced independent consultant since 2004. He has a
multi-faceted consulting business providing a broad base of management consulting services (under
the 3Pillars Asia Pacific brand) and survey-based measurement and diagnostic services (under the
Blue Provident brand). Jon is based in Perth and provides services around Australia and overseas.
