EVENT SUMMARY: PANEL DISCUSSION 2018 – INSIGHTS FROM TRENT BARTLETT, MEGAN MCCRACKEN, AND STUART JENNER

On Tuesday 11th September, SIOPA welcomed three of Perth’s most inspiring organisational leaders to share their insights at the annual ‘Growing Effective Organisations and Engaged Workforces’ panel. Mr Trent Bartlett (Active Non-Executive Director and former CEO), Ms Megan McCracken (Owner Pleiades.Global and Chair of the National Association of Women in Operations) and Mr Stuart Jenner(General Manager Capability & Culture, Gold Road Resources) brought a wealth of knowledge, meaningful insights, and array of highly captivating stories which engaged and enriched the audience of organisational psychology and related industry professionals.

SIOPA Board member Jon Wilson (Director, 3Pillars Asia Pacific; Managing Director, Blue Provident) facilitated the panel discussion and Q&A session, bringing his acute ability to improvise, keep an audience engaged and keep the conversation flowing. Some of the many insightful topics addressed on the evening included; the future of work, building distributed trust to enhance emotional maturity, being courageous enough to engage with key issues, and the critical importance of the ethics value piece – ‘’Knowing the business of the organisation so that our science is applied appropriately to the organisational context’’.

We would like to thank our panellists and attendees who helped make the evening a success.

We look forward to our next event on 16th October featuring digital business strategist Karen Lay-Brew speaking on the future of work. Tickets available soon.
